For our portable benchtop models, no plumbing is required—simply fill the reservoir and plug it in. For our built-in U-Line and Challenger models, a simple 1/4″ water line connection is needed, but because they are “No Drain” models, you do not need to install a floor drain or waste pipe.
Most of our Challenger portable units produce their first batch of ice bullets in just 7 to 13 minutes. They can produce up to 12kg of ice in a 24-hour period, making them perfect for summer entertaining.
Yes. While our ice makers are 240V AC, they are highly efficient. Many NZ boat and caravan owners run them successfully off a pure sine wave inverter. Check the “Rated Power” on the product specs to ensure your battery system can handle the startup load.
Bullet ice is hollow and produced quickly by portable machines—ideal for rapid cooling. Crescent ice (produced by our built-in models) is solid, melts much slower, and won’t stick together in the bucket, making it the premium choice for marine and luxury home use.
